Because your entire community deserves to feel included.

Chances are, your online space isn’t truly inclusive to marginalized and often underrepresented communities. Not because you don’t care, but because quite frankly you didn’t have the right support to navigate the how.

Let me know if this sounds familiar
You have a great idea for a post you'd like to share, but you're not actually sure if it is your story to tell or if you'd be causing harm by doing so.

Or you want to create a post, but are not sure how to include all of the sensory accessible options to ensure your entire audience is able to engage.

You know you want disabled, 2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous, Black, Brown, POC and systematically oppressed communities to feel included and respected — but you have no idea how to fully implement this with your actions.

YOU ASK YOURSELF …

— “Should I post about this right now”

—“Is my content visually accessible?”

—“Is this my story to tell?”

—“Am I centering myself or this is actually creating awareness?

—“Should I even share anything at all?”

Let's address the facts

You want to show up in a way that aligns with your values and ethics, but you may not be sure where to access all the information you need to support this.

Inclusivity is a constant
Inclusivity is a constant
Creating more these online spaces allows you to build relationships with your entire community.
This can show up through language-informed practices, and consistent impact-driven action.
The good news is
An image of Jenny, a South Asian woman, smiling with right arm in the air holding a camera, feet stretched apart, facing the camera.
If we want to create more inclusive and accessible spaces online and in our community we need to start with ourselves and our action.
By creating mindfulness with our content through our initial choices, the way we conceptualize and create our content, and what happens after, we can begin to do just that.

This is for you if...

1.
It's important to you that you create and foster an inclusive community online, but you struggle with the how, the language aspect, and the tangible action of it all.
2.
You currently connect with your clients and community online.
3.
You are aware that there are gaps in being truly inclusive of all of the marginalized groups that exist, but you're not sure how to approach it.
4.
The idea of being conscious of all the do’s and don'ts of inclusive methods for marginalized identities are currently inaccessible to you.

Choice

This is where you begin.

By choosing to acknowledge that your content isn’t as inclusive as you’d like it to be or that the way you show up in online spaces is not the way you want it to be.

Our first thought is what we were taught, our second thought is what we choose. Choosing to be conscious of all of this becomes an everyday act. But the first goal is to re-learn what you have been taught so that your everyday actions are rooted in your consciousness.

Includes:
  • A history lesson in content practices to understand where all our media biases began
  • Learn what a narrative is vs. what an inclusive narrative is and why the difference matters
  • Learn the correlation between your intention, impact, and harm

Conception

When it comes to creating content, we do not dedicate much time or thought to our  post concept before creating it. But this is where we should be spending most of our time.

The conception phase allows for time to apply reflection on your concept. It also allows us apply crucial inclusive principles and practices before moving to the creation phase of your content.

Includes:

  • Learn what centering vs. decentring is; when to not centre yourself and how to decentre yourself

  • Learn the difference between appropriation vs. appreciation

  • Risk Assessment Calculator

Unpacking Internalization & Privilege

Ditch the fragility by acknowledging all the ways your privilege and internalization shows up in the first place, so you can show up as a more informed ally.

Includes:

• 90-minute lecture based training on the forms of privilege including ability, class, racial, educational, gender, passing, religious, and sexuality. We will then unpack the ways internalized privilege and beliefs show up daily, so you can feel confident about how you are wielding the privileges you have.

Creator, Storyteller, Entrepreneur
An image of Jenny, a South Asian woman, smiling with hand under chin while looking into the camera.

I’m Jenny Jay, and just like you, I’ve been on a long journey of learning, seeking education, and growing to be a better person each and every day.

When I first started my studies in gender & anti-racism education in 2014, I was disappointed — but it wasn’t with the amount of information.

Instead, it was by how inaccessible the language and delivery of information was — because, for starters, these conversations were more often than not, classic, with language that is only made for people who have gone through post-secondary or academic education.

And none of it was practical.

As a storyteller and creator, all of my education over the last 6 years has become integral to the content that I write, create, and share. Add that to my lived experiences as a South Asian woman with experiences with in/visible disability, living unhoused and without financial security, and existing in my other identities, I recognize the difference it makes when content is created in a way that recognizes you and validates your experiences.

Together, I truly believe we can make spaces — especially online, spaces for change.

Because now more than ever, this is important.
